How to play Daily Mini Crossword
The Daily Mini Crossword is a quick puzzle of about six words. Everyone gets the same daily grid on the same date, so you can compare times with friends, and a brand-new puzzle appears at midnight in your own time zone. Switch to Practice for unlimited random puzzles whenever you want more.
Tap or click a white square to select it. The current word is highlighted and its clue appears above the grid. Type letters with your keyboard or the on-screen keys; the cursor moves forward automatically. Tap the same square again, press Space, or use the arrow keys to switch between Across and Down. Tab jumps to the next clue, and Backspace deletes.
Stuck? Check marks wrong letters in red, and Reveal letter fills in the selected square for a 15-second time penalty. The puzzle is solved when every letter is correct, and your score is your time in seconds. Clues are short and everyday, which makes the mini a good first crossword for children and new solvers.
Start with the clues you are sure of; crossing letters will often unlock the harder ones. Come back tomorrow to keep your daily streak going.
