Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-05
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information ViralScopeHub (the “Site”) handles, how cookies and advertising work, and the choices you have.
1. Information we do not collect
The tools on this Site run entirely in your web browser. The numbers, text, files and images you enter into calculators, converters and image tools are processed on your device and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. You do not need an account to use any tool, game or guide, and we do not ask for your name or email address to use them. The only information we store on our servers is what you choose to send us through the community (section 2a) or the contact form (section 6a).
2. Information stored on your device
Some features save data locally using your browser’s storage (localStorage) so they can work properly. Examples: your light or dark theme choice, high scores and best times in games and skill tests, saved progress in games such as the farm, the idle clicker and the block builder, and text saved by the online notepad. This information stays on your device, is not sent to us, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
2a. Community accounts
The community is optional. If you create an account, we store:
- Your username and password. We do not ask for an email address. Passwords are never stored in readable form, only as salted PBKDF2 hashes.
- What you post. Posts, comments, images, your username, karma and join date are public. Your votes, saved posts and notifications are private.
- A one-way hash of your IP address with your account, posts and comments, used only to prevent spam and abuse and for rate limits. We never store your IP address in readable form.
- One essential session cookie (
vsh_cm, HttpOnly, up to 30 days) that keeps you logged in. It is set only when you log in or sign up and is removed when you log out.
Moderators can see reports and remove content that breaks the community rules. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time. To delete your account and its content, send a request through the contact form with your username.
3. Log files
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information in server logs, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, date and time of the request. This is used for security, troubleshooting and basic traffic statistics.
4. Cookies and consent
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. The Site itself does not use cookies to identify you, except the essential community login cookie described in section 2a, which is set only if you log in. However, third-party services that we use or may use in the future, such as advertising and analytics providers, may set cookies or use similar technologies, as described below.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Your choice (“Accept all” or “Essential only”) is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name vsh-consent, so we do not ask again on every page. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, or by clearing your browser’s site data. If you choose “Essential only”, we will not load personalised advertising or analytics cookies.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense and other third-party vendors)
We may show ads served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Site or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info, or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we will ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used.
We have no access to or control over the cookies that third-party advertisers use, and this policy does not cover their practices. Please review their privacy policies.
6. Analytics
We may use a privacy-conscious analytics service in the future (for example Google Analytics or a cookieless alternative) to understand which tools are popular and to improve the Site. Such services may collect anonymous or aggregated information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type and browser. If we add analytics, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required by law.
6a. Messages you send through the contact form
When you use the contact form, we store your message, the topic you chose, the page it was sent from, the date and time, and, only if you enter them, your name and email address. To stop spam we also keep a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) and limit how many messages can be sent in a short time. A hidden field that people never see helps us filter out automated spam.
Messages are stored in our database at our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and can be read only by the site administrators. We use them only to reply, to fix the problem you report and to improve the Site. We do not sell them, share them with advertisers or add you to a mailing list. We delete messages when they are no longer needed and at the latest after 12 months, or sooner if you ask us to.
6b. Hosting
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages securely and protect the Site from attacks, as described in its own privacy policy. Community content and contact messages are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will help remove it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. The personal data we hold ourselves is limited to community accounts and contact form messages (sections 2a and 6a); for third-party advertising or analytics providers, use the opt-out links above and your browser settings. To make a request, use the contact form.
9. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Share buttons are plain links. Nothing is loaded from WhatsApp, X, Facebook, Reddit, Telegram or any other service until you click one, and then that service’s own privacy policy applies. The “Copy link” and “Install app” buttons work entirely on your device.
10. Security
We serve the Site over HTTPS and keep processing in your browser to limit data exposure. Passwords are hashed, IP addresses are only stored as one-way hashes, and the admin pages are restricted to moderators. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version.
