Maze Runner

Escape maze after maze before time runs out; each one is bigger than the last.

How to use: Move with the arrow keys, WASD, swipes or the buttons. Reach the glowing green exit before the clock hits zero.

How to play Maze Runner

Maze Runner drops you into the top-left corner of a randomly generated maze. Find your way to the glowing green square in the opposite corner as quickly as you can. Every escape adds eight seconds to the clock and sends you into a new, bigger maze, so the game gets harder the better you do.

Move one square at a time with the arrow keys or W, A, S and D, or use the buttons below the maze. On a touch screen you can also slide your finger across the maze and your runner follows. The clock starts with your first move, and squares you have already visited are lightly shaded so you can see where you have been.

Gold coins appear inside each maze. Detours to collect them add two seconds each, which can be worth it when you have time to spare. Your score is the number of mazes you escape before the clock reaches zero. Every maze has exactly one route between any two squares, so there is always a way out.

A classic trick is to keep one hand on a wall and follow it. It is slower than knowing the route, but it never fails in these mazes.
