How to play Pixel Hopper
Pixel Hopper is a side-scrolling platformer in three levels. You control a small runner who has to cross grassy ground, hop over pits, avoid spikes and reach the flag at the end. Coins are scattered along the way, and some sit on floating platforms for a little extra risk.
On a keyboard, use the left and right arrow keys or A and D to run, and the up arrow, W or Space to jump. Hold the jump key for a higher jump and let go early for a short hop. On a phone or tablet, use the Left, Right and Jump buttons below the game. You can hold Jump and a direction at the same time.
Purple critters patrol back and forth. Land on top of one to squash it and bounce, but touching it from the side costs a life. You have three lives for the whole game, and losing one restarts the current level. Falling into a pit or touching a spike also counts as a loss. Each coin is worth 50 points, each squashed critter 100, and finishing a level adds 250.
Run-ups matter. Start your jump right at the edge of a pit to get maximum distance, and use the longer hold-jump to reach higher platforms. Your best score for a full run is saved in this browser.
