How to use the Random Picker

Whether you are choosing a giveaway winner, deciding who goes first, assigning chores or picking where to eat, a random picker removes arguments and bias. Everyone can see the process is fair.

Type or paste your options with one per line. Blank lines are ignored. Choose how many you want to pick, and keep “No repeats” ticked if the same person should not be selected twice. Press Pick to draw winners, shown as a numbered list in the order drawn. Press Shuffle list instead to randomise the entire order, which is ideal for creating a speaking order, a team lineup or a random playlist.

Selection uses your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator and an unbiased method, so every item has exactly the same chance. Duplicate lines are treated as separate entries; if you want someone to have two chances, list their name twice, and remove duplicates with the dedupe tool if you do not.

For public giveaways, consider screen-recording the draw to show transparency, and check the legal rules for contests in your region. If you prefer a visual approach, the decision wheel picks an item with a spinning animation. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
