Unit Price Comparer

Which pack is really cheaper? Compare price per unit across sizes and multipacks.

How to use: Enter each product’s price, pack count, size and unit. The best value is highlighted; switch “Compare per” to see price per 100 g, kg, litre or item.

How to use the Unit Price Comparer

Supermarkets love confusing sizes: a 500 g bag, a 1.5 kg family pack and a four-pack of 250 g tubs. The bigger pack is not always cheaper, and promotions can hide a higher price per gram. Comparing the unit price is the reliable way to find real value.

Enter each product’s price and its size with a unit. For multipacks, set the pack count, for example 4 bottles of 330 ml. The calculator converts everything to a common base so you can mix grams with kilograms or ounces with pounds, and millilitres with litres, fluid ounces or gallons. Items, sheets and rolls can be compared too, handy for toilet paper, nappies or batteries.

The results table sorts products from cheapest to most expensive per unit, marks the best value and shows how much more each other option costs in percent. Use the “Compare per” menu to show the price per 100 g, per kilogram, per litre, per ounce or per item, whichever matches the shelf labels in your country.

Remember that the cheapest per unit is only a saving if you will use it all before it expires. Weight and volume cannot be compared with each other, and the tool warns you if you mix them. Everything is calculated on your device.

Which currency does it use?

Any. Enter prices in your own currency; the comparison works the same.
