How to play Gem Tycoon
Gem Tycoon is a 3D factory game. You own a small plot with a gem dropper that drops gems onto a conveyor belt. The belt carries them into a purple collector, and every gem adds money to your waiting cash. Walk onto the green Collect pad to move that cash into your wallet.
Buy pads appear in front of the factory. Each one shows what it builds and how much it costs, and it turns yellow when you can afford it. Simply walk onto a pad to buy it. Upgrades include more droppers, each making a more valuable gem, faster conveyor belts, polishers that double or triple the value of every gem, an auto-collector, and decorations such as trees and a treasure chest.
Move with W A S D or the joystick, jump with Space or ⤒, and drag to turn the camera. Your factory keeps running while the menu is open, and when you come back later you receive half of your normal earnings for the time you were away, up to one hour.
Once you have earned $25,000 in a run you can rebirth from the menu. Your factory resets, but every gem is worth 1.5 times more for good, and each further rebirth stacks the bonus. Your fastest rebirth times are listed on the local leaderboard.

Does the factory earn when I close the page?
Yes, a little. When you come back you get half of your normal rate for the time you were away, up to one hour.
What does rebirth do?
It resets your upgrades and cash but multiplies the value of every gem by 1.5 for good. You can rebirth again and again.
Where is my progress saved?
In your browser on this device. Clearing site data resets the factory.
