How to use the Text to PDF Converter
Plain text is the simplest way to write, but a PDF is better for printing, emailing as an attachment or submitting to a portal that only accepts PDF. This converter lays your text out on real pages with margins, wrapping and page numbers.
Type or paste into the box, or open a .txt, .md or .csv file from your device. Blank lines are kept as paragraph breaks and long lines wrap automatically between words. If a single word is longer than the line, such as a long web address, it is broken safely so nothing runs off the page.
Choose the classic sans-serif font for letters and notes, or monospace for code, tables made with spaces and anything that must line up in columns. Pick the font size, paper size, orientation and margin in millimetres. The status line shows how many lines and pages the PDF will have before you download it.
The PDF uses the standard fonts built into every PDF reader, which keeps files tiny. Those fonts cover English and Western European characters, including accents, curly quotes and the euro sign; other scripts appear as question marks. Everything is generated on your device.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert Chinese, Hindi or Arabic text?
Not with this tool. It uses the built-in PDF fonts, which only include Western characters. Print to PDF from your browser instead.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The PDF is created locally in your browser.
How do I keep columns aligned?
Choose the monospace font so every character has the same width.
